Quicker Mold Removal with Optimum Cooling – Rectus Presents a Complete Coupling Range for Cooling Injection Molds.

Nussdorf, August 2009 – Injection molding tools make it possible to produce large numbers of plastic components. Here, the duration of one cycle – i.e. the time between two moldings –depends not only on the size of the work piece but also particularly on the cooling: quicker cooling of the injection mould results in higher cycle times and therefore improved productivity.

The RECTUS GmbH Quick Coupling Division Europe – a subsidiary of Parker Hannifin Corp. –presents its complete coupling range for mold cooling: tempering couplings developed especially for connecting coolant lines and injection molds are available for all standard profiles around the world (International, European, French). One outstanding feature of the European and international range: the safe lock technology, which uses a special mechanism to reliably prevent accidental disconnection under pressure – with no negative impact on the flow rate. A further feature: with the extended locking sleeve, flush plugs can be connected and disconnected with no difficulty. Furthermore, the angled connections prevent creasing of the hoses. As such, the Rectus tempering coupling ranges provide impressive proof that the constantly increasing demands for higher temperatures (up to + 180°C) and greater flow (max. operating pressure 20 bar) can be achieved even with optimum occupational safety.

Available with various valve variants – single or double shut-off and with free through-access – the coupling systems are suitable for the use both with liquid and with gaseous cooling media (water, glycol emulsion, tempering oil). Only high quality brass is used for the installation of the couplings and various surface finishes are available depending on the design. All mechanical parts such as springs and locking balls are made of non-corrosive steel in order to counteract wear from coupling and uncoupling.

With annual sales in excess of $10 billion, Parker Hannifin is the world's leading manufacturer of motion and control technologies. The company develops and constructs systems and precision solutions for mobile and industrial applications and for the aerospace sector. Parker Hannifin employs around 52,000 people in 48 countries. Its annual dividends have increased continuously for 53 years – Parker Hannifin therefore ranks among the top five longest-running dividend-increases on the Standard & Poors 500 Index.
